I haven't been able to diagnose the cause of stains
intermittently appearing on my laundry (nor have local repair shops that I took
the shirt shown in this link
Washer is 5 yr. old, Kenmore front loader, model 43042.
Matching Kenmore electric dryer, same age, model 83042. I've used Affresh in
washer and have cleaned dryer vents.

Let's eliminate the washer by hanging a few
things on a line. My suspicion is the vent grate on the inside of the dryer
where the air moves through the dryer. Some will have stains and rust form on
them. Check that out.
