We need to purchase a new top load washer. Just for 2 adults - no need for all the extra's just clean clothes. We were looking at the Maytag Centennial 3.6 cu. ft. high efficiency (model # MVWC360AW) but we're finding mixed reviews. What brand & model would you suggest?

Hi Vickie,

Thanks for your note.
I prefer the Speed Queen washer, available at Busen's Appliance in Lincoln Park or Heydlauffs in Chelsea. The best in the business today.

Can you tell me what brand would be your recommendation for a top load clothes washer.  I believe you had mentioned Speed Queen at one time.  What local store would carry the recommended brand?  Thanks

Thanks!

Hi Karen,

You are correct as I think Speed Queen is the best value on the market today. Contact Busen's Appliance in Lincoln Park and they will take care of you. They are listed on my web site at Joe's Picks.

Consumer Question: Top Load Washer

Hi, Joe,

Great show! I like to listen while working.

I need a good top loader washer. I have seen reviews but I remember you said that most of the new washers don't use enough water. Do you have any recommendations? I need a washer that cleans!

Thank you!

I like the Speed Queen washer very much. Stop by Heydlauff Appliance in Chelsea. They will give you a crash course on washers.
